Yarra Valley Estate is seeking casual Food & Beverage Assistants to support the delivery of weddings, conferences and events on our 120-acre property in Dixons Creek. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a team environment and providing a high level of guest service.

About the role

You’ll be part of the front-of-house team responsible for ensuring guests are welcomed warmly, events run smoothly, and all food and beverage service meets our standards of quality, safety and presentation.

This is a casual position with shifts available across weekdays and weekends. Start date: immediate.

Key responsibilities

Guest welcome and event support

• Greet guests in a professional and friendly manner
• Assist with check-in and registration processes
• Provide event-day support, liaising with the Front-of-House Coordinator and other departments

Food and beverage service

• Serve food and drinks during weddings, conferences and retreats
• Set up and restock service stations and bar areas
• Monitor inventory and report stock levels
• Ensure food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times

Problem solving and guest care

• Respond to guest concerns and special requests during events
• Resolve minor issues with professionalism and discretion
• Escalate more complex matters to the Front-of-House Coordinator or management as required

Event setup and packdown

• Set up spaces including furniture, AV equipment and signage
• Help maintain the cleanliness and safety of public areas
• Assist with post-event packdown and resetting of spaces

Teamwork and communication

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments
• Attend team briefings and contribute to a positive work culture
