The Edible Forest

The Edible Forest is currently closed for June and July. We will be reopening for tours in August.

Yarra Valley Estate

Yarra Valley Estate’s Edible Forest is a garden lovers’ paradise and the vision of owner, Louise Ward.

In the 1 acre, netted Food Forest everything is planted for a reason, be it; edible, medicinal or nitrogen fixing.

Our Head Gardener picks the freshest produce daily and delivers it to our Chef to incorporate into our guests’ organic meals.

Relax + Breathe

Take a deep breath as you enter the Edible Forest and let the garden work its magic on you. Listen to the birds, watch the bees buzz from one flower to the next, learn the health benefits of the plants and Be Happy, Be Healthy + Be Inspired.

Health + Wellbeing Benefits

Health + wellbeing have never been as important as they are now. Take a ‘Tour, Taste & Educate’ experience in our Edible Forest, hosted by a member of our team, who will guide you through the seasonal offerings, explaining the medicinal elements of specific plants and how you can incorporate them into your daily meals at home.

The Nursery

Our range includes seedlings you won’t find in your normal nursery – so if you want unique plants, come and take a look. We also have a range of preserves made from the Edible Forest Harvest, sustainable products and our worm ‘tea’ fertilising liquid.

Harvest Hub

The Harvest Hub is our portable learning kitchen, we offer a range of (cooking and preserving) classes that allow you to take your interests further, learning new skills and ensuring your garden harvest lasts longer than just the season….
